CBSA Notice 14-011 (Changes to the Customs Tariff)
1. Customs brokers to be advised that the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff (Tariff) was amended by The Canada Border Services Agency on the 5th of May.
2. The version of the Consolidation of the Customs Tariff, incorporating all of the May 5th changes, is uploaded to the Canada Customs Web site.
3. In order to be certain that the tariff classification is correct, a customs broker or an importer have a right to request an advance ruling on tariff classification. Canada Customs D-Memo D11-11-3, Advance Rulings for Tariff Classification, explaining how to file the request, is available on CBSA web site.
